If you have something that you want to contribute to our newsletter, please send it to
our Director of News Operations Tish Benton  tbenton@charter.net.
When submitting articles to the newsletter, please make sure they
contain all the information you want relayed to others. Incomplete submissions will not
be put in the newsletter, so make yours is complete and proof-read it!!!
Also, Chota reserves full editorial privilege on submitted materials,
so if it appears differently than how you submitted it please understand!!!
WE WANT YOUR SUBMISSIONS!!!!!!!
Trip reports, articles of general interest to the paddling community and
anything conservation-oriented is always appreciated. You can send photo's
to the newsletter email too, but you must list both a caption for the photo
and all of those being photographed.

Club Meetings - 2nd Thursday of each month
General membership meeting at 6:30

Biweekly Roll Practice

Location: TN School For The Deaf
Day/Time: Friday 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.

The sessions are from 7:30 - 9:00 on alternate Fridays, from Feb 1 until warm weather hits.
The last roll practice of the spring was on April 25
Each session costs $3.00.
Boats must be clean
Participants are required to wear a PFD

November Meeting: Nov 13th at Carrabba's, 324 N Peters Rd 6:30 PM
Members;

Two very important issues will be on the Nov meeting agenda;
1) Election of the 20098 club officers
2) Voting on the distribution of conservation donations

Below are listed the nominations for officers were made and accepted during our Oct meeting.
As noted the positions of Newsletter Editor, Treasure and School Director (or President) are still open.
For the club to be viable and successful it needs the help of all members,
especially from a few who are willing to step forward and make a commitment
to help lead the club through this coming year.

Also motions were made and accepted for the club to make contributions to the following:
1.  $500 to the fund established for the
operation and maintenance of river gauges in Tenn.
2.  $500 for the printing of maps for the
proposed Tellico Blueway under development by TVA
