ETTAC's mission is to enable people with disabilities in East Tennessee to reach their potential for participating in the mainstream of society through innovative uses of technology.
PLEASE NOTE: Effective July 1, ETTAC will be open Tuesday through Friday, from 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. In order to conserve gas and other resources, staff will be working longer hours, four days a week. WE WILL BE CLOSED MOST MONDAYS. For emergency services, please leave a message and your call will be returned promptly: 865-219-0130.
ETTAC currently has equipment available for donation. Please go to ETTAC Equipment Recycling Program (on left of page) to learn more. This equipment has been donated to ETTAC and is available for loan or donation to individuals with disabilities in East Tennessee. Equipment must be picked up at ETTAC's office on N. Broadway in Knoxville, between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
Don't throw away your computers, televisions, monitors or other technology. Recycle it! Go to the Earth911 website, enter your zip code, and a list of places will pop up for your recycled electronic waste. If your computer equipment is in good working order, please call ETTAC at (865) 219-0130.

What is Assistive Technology?
Assistive technology is any piece of equipment, whether purchased or made at home, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve a person's functional capabilities. (Assistive Technology Act, 1998)Assistive technology can be:
