Hi ETWG Members
The purpose of this note is to
invite and provide an easy way for members to indicate their
level of interest in further developing skills that standout
in a generic woodworking process or to learn shop and
machine ideas.
Attached to this note is a
survey - ETWG Woodworking Skills-your name.doc.
Please complete and return this survey by:
1) Opening the file -- it's a
Word document.
2) Tab or arrow key through the
survey choosing your level of interest for the various skills.
3) Save file with your
name added in the file name to make it unique from other
members' when returned.
If anyone has a difficulty
opening the survey / Word document, it can be
downloaded from the guild's website (www.etwg.org). You can
contact me, Ron Clayton (I'm in the membership book) for assistance,
e.g., being sent a survey using USPS.
It is recognized that many
members are very skilled woodworkers and may be both on the
"take training" and the "give
training" sides of the ledger. With the results of
the survey in hand, it is hoped to match select members with specific
skills to host training workshops, perhaps
in members' shops or in guild meetings. Also, we will
try to get others outside the guild to speak to us
in guild meetings or in other venues.
Your input will be
a big help in identifying the interests of the
membership for both skill development and guild meeting programs.
Thanks, in advance, for your
participation.
Ron Clayton
