Tom and Rachel participated in a volunteer fair at the
Scripps Networks Headquarters in Cedar Bluff. We took
some brochures and showed some slides of KKB projects.
About 15 people stopped by to talk and we may have recruited some
Sundown volunteers.

We start this month with another waste audit of last night's garbage
from Market Square and downtown businesses. We didn't do as
well as last week. We got 260 pounds from the ClearStreams,
14.6 in the compost boxes and 200.25 in garbage. We only recycled
and composted 58% of the weight. We did find one bag of trash with
about 35 pounds of wet newspapers - neatly stacked together, most likely
thrown in at one time. We are going to do something about
collecting clean paper starting this week.
Also, Jill was out all day today making a site visit to the
East Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition. She will be doing here
AmeriCorps placement there next year. Jill missed going
through the garbage.
