AAA Foundation Road Debris Study

Keep Knoxville Beautiful
, AAA of East Tennessee, Knox County and the City of Knoxville held a joint press conference on Thursday, July 22, 2004 to bring attention to the study by the AAA Foundation about vehicle-related road debris.  The most cost effective way to prevent accidents, property damage, injuries and deaths from road debris is to properly secure all items being transported in a vehicle.  Click here to read a summary and the full report.  Litter officials believe that a significant portion of roadside litter is actually escaping from the beds of trucks and that cleanup cost to taxpayers can be avoided if citizens will properly secure loads.
