Christmas Tree-Cycling - December 26, 2006 through January 5, 2007

When Christmas is over and the tree comes down what do you do with it?  Leave it out for the garbage truck to be hauled off to take up space in the landfill?  You don't have to do that any more.  You can drop off your tree at one of four convenient locations between December 26, 2006 and Saturday, January 5, 2007 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  The drop-off locations are the Halls Convenience Center, Forks of the River Convenience Center, Solway Greenwaste Facility and Ijams Nature Center.  Trees will be chipped at Halls and Solway on Saturday, January 5th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.   You can take mulch home for free that day. Mark your calendar now for Saturday, January 5, 2007.

Drop-Off Dates and Times

Important: There is NO fee to drop off a tree between December 26, 2005 and January 5, 2006.  At other times there is a nominal fee to drop off yard waste - logs, stumps, branches, brush, clippings, etc.

Our Goal

Our goal is to recycle 2,000 trees.  We will need your help to do that.  Last year we had about 1,000 trees brought to the drop off sites.
