• Provides a link to the national organization, the state chapter, and other sub-chapters (Chattanooga, Nashville, the Northeast, and Memphis);
• Provides opportunities for skill and knowledge building through monthly programming and co-sponsorship of TRID conventions and other local workshops;
• Provides current information relating to the profession of interpreting and the Deaf community through monthly programming and monthly newsletters (If you are a member of KTRID and are not receiving the TRIDent newsletter, contact editor@tnrid.org to add your name & email address to the newsletter's mailing list);
• Provides contacts for mentoring, community activity, and social interaction with peers in the profession;
• Provides training, support, and guidance for professional interpreters, teachers, employers, students, and supporters of the Deaf;
• Provides opportunities to learn about advocacy and increase awareness of issues in the field;
• Grants reduced fees for workshops;
• Attending monthly meetings can earn at least 0.7 CEUs.
