Heather
Webb has worked at the University
of Tennessee since 1995 on several federally funded projects.
These were primarily within the Center on Deafness and focused
on deafness issues. She became interested in the field of interpreting
and began taking classes to finish her Bachelor of Science in
Education. Upon completion in December, 2003, she became a full-time
staff Interpreter/Transcriber for the Office
of Disability Services at UTK. In January 2005, she began
managing the schedule for the Interpreters and Transcribers
at UT as well as interpreting and transcribing several classes
each semester.
Heather holds the Certificate of Interpretation from RID.
She interprets for her church, Providence Missionary Baptist
Church in Seymour, TN along with other agencies in the Knoxville
area. Heather and her husband, Roger, enjoy playing with their
dogs, Bear and Brea, and are expecting their first child in
September 2007.
