| Student Poster Night–Joint Meeting with the
Smoky Mountain Section of the Society of
Plastics Engineers (SPE) |

5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15th, 2007 in the
Volunteer Ballroom. at the Carolyn P. Brown Memorial University Center on the
University
of Tennessee–Knoxville campus.
All undergraduate and graduate students and post-docs
working on materials-related
research are invited to present a poster detailing their work.
The poster symposium is regularly attended by ASM members from
Oak Ridge National Laboratory,
UT, and local industry; giving
you a chance to interact, discuss, and receive feedback from
leading engineers and scientists and a chance to highlight
the cutting-edge research performed at your school.
Cash prizes will be awarded for the three best student posters.
(N.b., post-docs are encouraged to participate;
however, they are not eligible for the cash prizes.)
There will be food! It will be a sit-down dinner, similar to
last year’s event, starting at about 6:30 p.m.

Ideally, posters should have Velcro (hooks) attached already.
If your poster is configured for
push-pins, pins will be provided (but bring your own,
just in case).
Please arrive by 3:30 p.m. to put up your posters. All posters must be set up by the beginning
of the event (5:00 p.m.)—no exceptions!
You should have already registered your poster,
but you still need to register that you are going
to attend. I know, it seems redundant, but please
just do it. Register for the event
using this form.
