Finance Committee -
Develop and implement strategies to increase financial and in-kind support of CONTACT Helpline, Inc. Plan and implement fund raising activities and strategies including grants, individual donors, civic club and church donors, United Way, County Commission, and other appropriate sources.
Public Relations Committee -
Develop a short-term and mid-term implementation plan to present the story of CONTACT Helpline, Inc. On an annual basis, review plans to track issues, milestones and deliverables. Utilize the adopted and approved plans to meet the stated objectives to maintain and disseminate current information to the community regarding CONTACT Helpline, Inc. services and needs.
Training Committee -
Increase the number of potential new telephone workers taking training from 10 to 30 per year. Increase the level of expertise of telephone workers on an annual basis. Increase awareness and training of listening skills of general public. Provide training to special groups like nurses and Ridgeview technicians in order to recruit their skills and expertise. Recruit enough telephone workers to replace all telephone workers who leave and enough telephone workers to fill all shifts.
Personnel Committee -
Initiate the organization and development of the Policies and Procedures Manual. Begin preparation for on-site accreditation review. Provide CONTACT Helpline, Inc. with Policies and Procedures Manual for easy reference to provide continuity of operation within CONTACT Helpline, Inc. Maintain fully trained and qualified staff and adequate trained volunteers and support workers to provide services.
Property Committee -
The overall short and long range goal for the Property Committee is to provide adequate housing, equipment, and other services that will allow the various telephone workers to respond to the needs of the community and fulfill the mission of the CONTACT Helpline, Inc. center. The Property Committee shall: review cleaning and maintenance procedures regularly and revise where necessary; maintain an adequate supply of cleaning products for the center; and provide a detailed annual cleaning and maintenance schedule as necessary. This will include such things as shampooing carpets, touch-up painting, washing windows and blinds, replacing blinds and/or drapes, and maintaining and replacing furnishings to enhance the appearance of our home, and other items that may be needed. The Property Committee shall assist the staff and other Board Committees to assure that CONTACT goals will be met.
Nominating Committee -
Nominate President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Nominate eight (8) board members from supporting churches, telephone workers, the ministry, and the lay community. CONTACT belongs to the community. Therefore, board members should be selected from the community with a vision of community support.
TeleFriend Committee -
Present the story of TeleFriend and its benefits to area elementary school age children and their parents. increase awareness of existence and purpose of TeleFriend. Continue all present contacts with area elementary schools and with the community. Increase the number of TeleFriend telephone workers and their level of expertise. Increase the number of hours the TeleFriend line is open.
