Success By 6 of Blount County: Our History and Mission

History
Success By 6 (SB6) is a nationwide initiative promoted by United Way of America to ensure that every child enters school ready to learn and succeed. Every SB6 community chooses the focus of its local initiative based on the needs of its young children.
In 1998, United Way of Blount County brought together many parents, educators and community leaders to determine the greatest needs of our young children. Success By 6 of Blount County developed the Behavioral Health Resource Center to address the social-emotional needs of young children ages birth to six.

Mission
To ensure that all children ages birth to six will be mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally healthy for lifelong learning and growth.
